A couple of years ago a good friend of mine inherited 4 large paintings. These were lying in the back of his van. When he showed me I recognized them as Robert ixer paintings .I pointed the trade mark buckets to him. He told me that he was going to take them to auction when he had time. I told him I had a spare wall to hang one on until he decided to go to auction.so he let me pick one. A week later he asked me how I liked the painting. I said it looked great. Then he said you can have it.i was blown away. So that's how I got to have the large painting of West Highland cattle Loch long Scotland . He never went to auction btw
